How to clear codes on Maytag dryer? ›

To remove the code, press pause or cancel button twice and the power button once. If the code is still displayed, unplug the washer or disconnect the power for one minute.

Disconnect the Power

Disconnecting the washer's electricity for three minutes is the simplest way to reset a Maytag washing machine. When the power is cut off, the washing machine's electrical charge can dissipate, allowing it to reset. If the reset doesn't work, unplug the washer once more, this time for ten minutes.

Moisture Sensor Issue

The F3E2 error code occurs when five consecutive loads are dried without registering moisture sensor data. Pressing the 'Power' button will clear the error code and allow you to restart the machine. If the problem persists, call for service.

F8 E2 Code in display:

This indicates there is a problem with the Dispenser System. Verify detergent drawer or detergent cartridge is not clogged with detergent.

Control displaying F6 E1:

There may be a problem with the Main Control Board, the User Interface (Touchpad), or the associated wiring. Power unit down by turning off the circuit breaker(s) for one (1) minute. Power unit up by turning on the circuit breaker(s).

Did you receive a F6 E2 washer reboot alert? The F6 E2 alert indicates there is issue with the appliance control unit, user interface or associated wiring.

Incorrect leveling of the dishwasher can cause this error.

On your model, the F6E2 is a communication error between the main control board and the control panel (also called the user interface). The tech sheet says the control panel will have to be replaced. The first thing I would do is either unplug it or turn off the breaker for 10 minutes to reset the control board.

What does error code F4 E3 mean on Maytag dryer? ›

An F4 E3 (Restricted Air Flow) error code indicates that the lint screen or vent is clogged; the vent may be crushed, kinked, or have too many turns. The dryer will continue to run when the is error is present. Touch any key to clear the code from the display and return to the estimated time remaining.
